Visual Elements: Logos
Our logo is the main symbol that identifies Grand Valley State University. It’s required on university content. University Marketing has guidelines on the university logo's use.
The University Libraries has two different logos: one with the logo mark on the left, and another with the logo mark on the top.
General guidelines
In order for our logo to be visible and legible, it should have plenty of space surrounding it.
Never redesign, animate, modify, or distort any university logo. This includes adding words, images, or any new elements to it. Always resize logos proportionally by holding down the Shift key as you drag the corner of the image.
Online
On library websites, use the horizontal "Markleft" logo on a white background. Don't use the vertical "Marktop" logo on the web. And don't use the University Libraries logo if the website already has the University's logomark.
