- National Center for Education StatisticsThe National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) is the largest nationally representative and continuing assessment of what America's students know and can do in various subject areas.
- U.S. Dept of Education: PolicyLegislation, regulations, guidance, and other policy documents can be found here for the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), and other topics.
- What Works ClearinghouseThe What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) reviews the existing research on different programs, products, practices, and policies in education.
Academic Databases
The Libraries' online academic databases in education have a wealth of information on the shaping, impact, and evolution of educational policy. Each database has an index of terms, called either a THESAURUS or list of SUBJECT TERMS. Check that for words to search for policy issues.
