Use library databases to:
- find articles about a specific topic

- search specialized subscription databases
Language and literature
- MLA International Bibliography with Full TextProduced by the Modern Language Association (MLA), the electronic version of the bibliography dates back to the 1920's. The database contains millions of citations, as well as, full text for 1,000 journals.
- Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts (LLBA)Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts (LLBA) contains abstracts and indexing for articles, books, and other scholarly materials related to linguistics and its sub-disciplines. Coverage is from 1973 to the present.
- JSTORHas full-text backfiles of key journals in German and other topics.
- Literature OnlineLiterature Online provides full-text, searchable access to a wide range of English language literary works, criticism, and reference sources. Robust searching allows users to find authors by nationality, ethnicity, movement and period.

- Literature Criticism OnlineContains biographical information about authors as well as commentary on short stories, books and plays.
